Marg lives with her husband, John and daughterLyn in Perkinsfield, Ontario.She is descended from the Drummond Islanders,a group of French and Native furtraders who came to Huronia in 1828, becomingthe first settlers in Penetanguishene. She isa citizen of the Metis Nation of Ontario.

Marg performs her original songs at festivals, coffee houses and community events. She enjoys events that allow for dialogue with the audience.

For inspiration in writing her songs and poetry, Marg draws on family, traditional stories and current stories of interest.
